I am usually not the type of person that is very outgoing, especially in professional settings where there are feelings of imposter syndrome. However, coming to New York, I knew that I wanted to make a greater effort to network and develop professional relationships. Beyond all of my expectations, I went to office events, made great friends within my team, and even got to know professionals from the other teams at Bokksu as well.

I love working with Ashton and getting her feedback and perspective on projects. Michelle, our Senior Growth Marketing Manager, has voiced wanting to have Ashton come on board full time.

Since coming to New York, I finally updated my LinkedIn for the first time since high school. I also began to grow my network there and connect with people in a way I had not before. This was partly because of new connections at work in addition to tips provided in the NYC Seminar course.

While I attended a number of events that involved networking this quarter, I am particularly proud of the conversations I was able to have at the Stanford alumni event where I discussed everything from food to MBA programs. Here is a portion of a follow-up with someone I met there.
