Outcome Statement: I have dedicated more time this quarter to learning Japanese language, engaging in conversations in Japanese, and understanding the ways the culture presents itself throughout the city.

This quarter, I have spent more time practicing Japanese by setting aside at least 20 minutes each day as well as an additional hour each week. I have also made it a point to try and speak more Japanese with friends and coworkers when possible. This aspect is still challenging but it does force me to push myself and I have also been able to learn things I would’ve otherwise not known. I also attended the NYC Japan Day Parade and have visited JapanFes multiple times while in the city to enjoy delicious Japanese street food.
